According to regulations in the Macedonian Company Law, foreign company/legal person may organize branch offices and representative offices in North Macedonia.
Foreign legal person has a right through its branch office to do according to its form and area of operation all activities, to acquire and take over obligations, is entitled to access to the courts and other competent authorities in North Macedonia under same conditions as domestic legal entities, except if with a law is not regulated something else.
The foreign legal person and foreign single tradesman can with decision in written form organize branch office in North Macedonia only if it has been registered in the relevant registry in the country where its headquarters are located.
Foreign single tradesman can organize only one branch office whereas foreign legal person can organize plurality of branch offices in North Macedonia.
The foreign legal entity and the foreign single tradesman is registering the organizing of its branch office in the commercial register in North Macedonia.
In case when the foreign legal person is organizing more than one branch office in North Macedonia than in the application for registration of the branch offices has to be indicated which branch office will be its main branch office in North Macedonia.
